Protecting your home and loved ones is a top priority for many of us, but with the rapid advancements in technology, it can be hard to keep up with the latest security solutions. That’s where Schlage comes in. Their Encode Plus, a new addition to their Encode WiFi product family, is set to revolutionize the way we secure our homes.

What’s so special about the Encode Plus? Well, it comes with an N.F. reader built into the lock, which allows you to use your Apple Watch or iPhone to lock and unlock your door with just a tap. This feature is made possible because the Encode Plus is integrated with Apple HomeKit, making it the perfect solution for those who love all things Apple.

But the Encode Plus isn’t just about convenience. It’s also incredibly secure. You can set up different codes for different people, which means you’ll know exactly who’s coming and going. For example, if you have a dog walker, you can set a code that only works between 1 pm and 3 pm on weekdays. Once they’ve completed their job, the code will no longer work.

The Encode Plus is perfect for families too. You can set up different codes for your kids and receive notifications when they enter the house. This eliminates the need for spare keys, which can easily be lost or stolen. It’s a great way to keep track of who’s coming and going, and you can even delete codes when you don’t need them anymore.

If you’re a frequent Airbnb renter, the Encode Plus is perfect for you too. You’ll no longer have to worry about picking up and dropping off keys. Instead, you can simply receive a code that works for the duration of your stay. Once you’ve checked out, the code will no longer work, giving you peace of mind that nobody else can enter the property.

The Encode Plus is set to be fully launched this spring, and it will be available in all standard retail stores and online. With its cutting-edge technology and emphasis on security, it’s the perfect solution for anyone who wants to protect their home and loved ones. Don’t settle for outdated security solutions – upgrade to the Encode Plus and experience the future of home security.

So one of my favorite places to visit at CES is Schlag. And I’m all about how you can protect yourself at home security. And you guys specialize in this? We do, yes. Yeah. Yeah. And I know we talked a little bit last year, Ryan but you have, you did a soft launch of this last year, what we’re gonna talk about.

But now this product is fully a. Y this spring? Yes. Okay. This spring. Yeah. Kinda relaunch this spring. Absolutely. Okay. Okay. So why don’t you talk a little bit about what you’re launching this spring or what you’re relaunching. Sure. It’s our encode plus, it’s part of our encode wifi product family same feature set that you can use with Thele app to be able to lock, unlock, change codes, set set times for codes to be used, that type of stuff.

The new feature that we have available with that is actually an nft Reader built with built in the lock and for most of us that are not techy, what does that mean? So the layman’s term version of it is because we’re integrated with Apple Home Kit. So you can take your Apple Watch or your iPhone and tap the front of the lock and it will lock it or unlock it.

So it’s very similar to if you were to go, if you had a hotel key that you just put up to the door now and it. Very similar concept. Absolutely. Okay. Except that instead of the key, it’s your phone or your watch. Exactly, yes. Okay. So think about it, if you’re, you got your watch and you come home and you’ve got, arm load full of groceries, you can tap your yes.

Tap your watch to it. It’ll unlock the lock for you. Yes. I want to digress just a little bit here. Okay. Some people still have regular keys, right? To get into their house or their business or whatever, right? . What are the advantages to this system over just the old fashioned key lock?

It’s a great great question and one of, one of the things to note, we didn’t take that functionality away. You still a, anyone that wants to use a key still can’t with the lock. Okay. However and this gets down to a consumer by consumer use case experience. So I may have a dog walker that comes and walks my dog.

I can set a. For my dog walker that it will be on a schedule between one and three Monday through Friday. And so when the dog walker comes up, enter the code door unlocks, they grab my dog, take it for a walk, come back and then if they were to come back at four o’clock, five o’clock, that code wouldn’t work.

I have a house cleaner. I’ve got my kids that come home from school. They each have their own. That allows them to get in the house and, garner the days of the latchkey kid. Yep. So you don’t have to worry about them losing the key, all that stuff. They have their own code and I can get a notification on my phone, oh, my son got home from school, whatever the case may be.

And so you can better way to keep track of your family and that type of stuff because everybody has their own code. Exactly. That’s really interesting. What about Airbnbs and that type of thing? Do you start seeing people using that for the Absolutely. It’s becoming a very popular.

Airbnb or just a long-term rental or anything like that to where I’m renting an Airbnb. I get my code sent to me for the week that I’m there, and then I can delete the code out. It doesn’t work anymore. And then I can just, instead of having to go, get the key back from the renter and get, they lost it, now I got a new, get a new key copy, that type of stuff, right?

So from a and I can do that from my couch while I’m watching the game. Okay, they’re done. I can delete the code now and then send the new code to the new renters. Great. And will your product be available in all places? All standard retail. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Starting this spring and online?

Absolutely. Okay. Very good. All right. Thank you, Ryan. Thank you. This is your guru of Geek Marlo Anderson from CES 2023
