Your app is buried behind three other windows again. On a Mac, hold Command (⌘) and tap Tab. Your open apps line up in the middle of the screen, and you can jump to any of them.

The Shortcut

  • Hold ⌘ and tap Tab to move through your apps
  • Let go to switch
  • A quick ⌘ + Tab flips back to the last app you used

Bonus Tip: Switch Windows in the Same App

Command + Tab switches between apps, not windows. If you have two Notes or two Safari windows open, press ⌘ + ` (the key just above Tab) to flip between them.

On Windows?

Use Alt + Tab to switch windows.
