Watching YouTube on a computer and fumbling for the tiny pause button? Use the keyboard instead. Three keys do almost everything.
The Shortcut
- K: pause and play
- J: back 10 seconds
- L: forward 10 seconds
- Works in your web browser on Windows, Mac and Chromebook
Bonus Tip: Change the Speed
Press Shift + > (the period key) to speed a video up, and Shift + < (the comma key) to slow it down. Speed up long tutorials, or slow things down when you’re following along.
