Copied the event details from a website and they pasted into your email in a giant blue font? Press Option + Shift + Command + V and the text matches everything around it.

The Shortcut

  • Option + Shift + ⌘ + V: Paste and Match Style
  • Mail, Notes, Pages and more
  • Google Docs on a Mac: ⌘ + Shift + V

Bonus Tip: Look Up a Word

Point at a word (or select it) and press Control + ⌘ + D. The definition pops up right there.
