Know the feature is in there somewhere but can’t find the menu? Press Command + Shift + /, type what you’re looking for, and your Mac points right at it.

The Shortcut

  • ⌘ + Shift + /: search the menus
  • Type the name, then press Return
  • Works in almost every Mac app

Bonus Tip: Tiny Volume Steps

Hold Option + Shift and press a volume key to change the volume in quarter steps. Option plus a volume key opens Sound settings.
