Chrome slowing to a crawl with the cattle auction streaming in one tab? Press Shift + Esc to see which tab is hogging memory.

The Shortcut

  • Shift + Esc: Chrome’s Task Manager
  • Memory and CPU for every tab and extension
  • Select the hog and end it
  • Mac: Window › Task Manager

Bonus Tip: Alt + F

Press Alt + F to open the Chrome menu, then use the arrow keys and Enter. Alt + E works too.
