Mouse batteries died in the middle of the Lions Club newsletter? Select the file and press Shift + F10. The right-click menu pops up right there.

The Shortcut

  • Shift + F10: right-click menu
  • Arrow keys to move, Enter to choose
  • Works in almost every Windows app
  • The Menu key (≣) does the same

Bonus Tip: Alt + Enter

Select a file in File Explorer and press Alt + Enter to open its Properties: size, type and dates. On a Mac, it’s ⌘ + I.
