The dog starts barking the second your meeting gets going? Don’t hunt for the mute button. In Zoom, press Alt + A to mute yourself, and press it again to unmute.
The Shortcut
- Zoom on Windows: Alt + A
- Zoom on Mac: ⌘ + Shift + A
- Microsoft Teams: Ctrl + Shift + M
Bonus Tip: Camera On and Off
Need to step away from the camera? In Zoom, Alt + V turns your video off and on (⌘ + Shift + V on a Mac). In Teams, press Ctrl + Shift + O.
